A British warehousing business, built to be dull.
Founded in 2011, Shelf Route handles inventory for 268 growing British brands — from craft food producers to publicly listed retailers. We're deliberately unshowy: what our clients want most is for nothing to go wrong.

Started small. Grew slowly. Kept the phone on.
Shelf Route began in 2011 as a single warehouse in Dagenham, run by two former supply chain managers who thought the third-party logistics market had lost its manners. We built the business around named contacts, transparent invoicing and the belief that the operator should always know more about your stock than you do.
Fifteen years later, that ethos hasn't changed. We're a family-owned British operator with five hubs, 640 colleagues and a stubborn refusal to grow faster than we can hire well.
Fifteen years, five hubs.
Shelf Route opens a single 60,000 sq ft site inside the M25, serving three e-commerce brands from a hand-built pick tower.
The Birmingham hub adds 560,000 sq ft, doubles the team and unlocks a proper next-day pallet network across England and Wales.
Certifications land after two years of process work. Bonded storage goes live in Dagenham the same year.
Rooftop PV goes on every hub. The first electric HGVs enter the fleet on the M6 corridor.
Wakefield Europort completes the network. Shelf Route handles inventory for 268 growing British brands.
Four things we won't compromise on.
Say what you'll do
Every commitment goes into a written SLA. Every miss is reported before you notice — with a fix, not an excuse.
Own the whole box
One team is responsible for a client, from goods-in to the courier handover. No hand-offs, no finger-pointing.
Invest in the boring bits
Racking, floors, forklifts, training. The unglamorous investments are why our accuracy numbers don't drift.
Leave things better
PV on every roof, electric MHE across sites, and carbon-tracked pallet delivery on every consignment.
